Shaping Trichology Practice in Nigeria — standards, knowledge, and access.

Nigerian Trichologists (NT) is a coalition of certified practitioners advancing the science and practice of hair and scalp care across Nigeria. We collaborate to set standards, influence policy, and make it easier for the public and partners to work with accredited trichologists.

Our Mission

To formalise and elevate trichology practice in Nigeria through policy engagement, shared standards, and continuous education — ensuring that individuals, salons, clinics, and healthcare partners can access credible, accredited expertise.

Key pillars:

    • - Standards & Accreditation — defining ethical and clinical guidelines, publishing protocols tailored for Nigeria.
    • - Knowledge Hub — providing resources for the public and professionals, including when to seek a trichologist and how to work with one.
    • - Policy & Advocacy — working with regulators to shape legislation that recognises and protects quality practice.
    • - Access & Directory — launching a verified list of accredited trichologists in Nigeria.

What We Do

    • - Define standards for practice: scope, ethics, consent, documentation, and referral pathways.
    • - Advance legislation & recognition: engage with regulators, support registration, and advocate for consumer protection.
    • - Educate & connect: publish guides, host training and CPD, and launch a national directory of verified practitioners.
